Get on the Train or Watch it Go By!
Hello friend!
I wanted to share something with you that God spoke to me a few months ago. We've been praying for revival and I have this sense that it's coming soon! Here's what God spoke to me:
Revival is coming like in the days of Noah. It is coming in a whirlwind of fire and we need to be ready. We need to make the decision whether or not we are going to get on the train, or watch it go by. Revival will come in God's timing, not ours. The church has been coddled for far too long. There are those who will close their ears to what is being said because they haven’t fully committed their lives to Christ. They like to hear what I call the ‘fluff a nutters.’ They want to hear a feel good message instead of a message that’s going to challenge us to be doers and not just hearers of the word. A message that will make us run, not walk, to the altars and ask God to forgive us for our sins. A message that will ignite the fire within us to want to go out and preach the gospel like we are commanded to do. For years I’ve said that God is sifting the church and that He is weeding out what needs to be cutoff. In Luke 22:31, Jesus tells Peter that Satan wanted to “sift Peter as wheat,” which means that he wished to shake Peter’s faith so forcefully that he would fall, proving that God’s faithful servant was lacking. God is sifting the church, shaking us up and separating the good from the bad.
He is bringing things into the light that we’ve kept hidden in the dark or secret. We may be able to keep things hidden from others, but God knows and sees all. Think about how a jeweler refines gold. Heat must be used to bring the impurities to the surface. The impurities are removed, then the process is continued. Heat, remove impurities, heat, remove impurities. This process is repeated until the gold is pure. The refiner knows when the gold is pure when he looks at the gold and sees his reflection. Just like the jeweler, God is wanting to expose our impurities. We need to let God put us through this heating process to bring out the impurities so that He can clearly see His reflection in us.
Don’t be left at the train station wondering ‘what do I do now?’ You should be asking yourself that now while we still have time to help further God’s kingdom. Now is the time to get out and be that light in this dark world. Revival is coming and soon after is Jesus’ return. Don’t be left behind.
Blessings,
Lisa
Lisa this is so true! If we can’t handle God’s refining process, we aren’t ready for revival.
